The Flute Calls Still by Dilip Kumar Roy from Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry a well-known musician and vocalist who specialised in Dhrupad, Khayal and devotional music; also an author and a poet. He founded the Hari Krishna Mandir in 1959 at Pune.
Indira Devi met her destined Guru, Sri Dilip Kumar Roy, who advised her to accept Sri Aurobindo as her guide in 1949. After founding the Hari Krishna Mandir Ashram at Poona under the aegis of her accepted Guru, she began, at his instance, to write about her experiences and evolution in yoga.
In this soft cover book of 362 pages, the letters of Indira Devi, form the first part of the present volume. The second part of the book consists of letters written by Dilip Kumar and others about the happenings in Hari Krishna Mandir, about the saints and sages, and about spiritual life in general, which were edited by Dilip Kumar Roy as a tribute to Indira Devi on her birthday in 1964.
