Commentaries On The Life Divine by The Mother is a soft cover book of 388 pages by The Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry. She commented on two of the last chapters of The Life Divine during her weekly classes at the Ashram Playground, Pondicherry, in the 1950s.
After reading from the text, The Mother would answer any questions raised by those present. In these commentaries she speaks about Sri Aurobindo's vision of the future—the evolution of a spiritualised humanity leading to a divine life on earth.

Around 1924 she founded the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. In 1943, she started a school in the Ashram named Sri Aurobindo International Center of Education. Sri Aurobindo Society was started by the Mother in 19th September 1960. She was not only the founder and the Executive President. In 1968 established Auroville, an experimental township dedicated to human unity and evolution. She was influential on the subject of Integral Yoga.
